We’ve known Shannon and her husband Eric for several years now so we were extremely excited to finally meet their new edition, Stella, for a beautiful midsummer family session.   Fiercely independent does not even begin to describe Ms. Stella.  It was almost as if she wanted to scout out and pick the locations for the evening.  She even decided when and where she would have her photo taken with the yellow floral hair band accessory she brought along.  After the discovery of the “Flying Lady” (a hot pink golf ball left lying around) it was over for the adults.  Smiles and every level of adorable came with a one condition – we had to play fetch.  Good thing Stella is still developing her pitching game or we would’ve been running around Trimborn Farm all evening.  It was such a privilege and honor to have the chance to work with the Mayer family again.

With the ever present threat of rain and an endless onslaught of hungry mosquitoes, we found a break in the clouds and fought back the blood suckers with some repellent from Jamie’s mom stash to have an awesome session with Cayden.  It’s been three months since we first met the little guy and he has definitely grown into quite the charmer in front of the camera.  We’re sure his big sister Maddie, an old pro at these session things, was giving him some inside advice.  At times, It felt as if we had to ask the two of them to turn down the cuteness a notch or two.  Working with the Froh’s is always a treat.  We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our time with them through the years and can’t wait to see how Cayden grows in the next months. Miss Maddie picked a yellow flower for Sarah’s hair and also found time to assist Steve with the retractable lens wipe over and over again. 

From the moment we first worked with Anne and Sean on their engagement session at Miller Brewery, we knew just how fun they were to work with. Their beautiful wedding at Cuvee proved it again. So when Sean asked us to travel to Anne’s family lake house in Westfield for a double family session we jumped at the opportunity.  Meeting their daughter Maggie was reminiscent of the first time we met her parents. Bright smiles and full of love. Maggie’s cousin Grace is only a few months older than her so they are grandfathered into being best friends for life! Capturing this session for this family was very special. On our 2 hour drive home we couldn’t help but talk about how happy we were for Anne & Sean and the beautiful family they have created.

To celebrate the awesomeness of Cinco de Mayo, the Wilke’s opted for a family photo shoot.  Well, perhaps not.  We just like to think photography is the best way to celebrate the holidays.  All kidding aside, we were thrilled to shoot the Wilke family once again. It’s been almost four years since we met their brood.   Since then, boys have turned into men, a marital engagement was set, and a blue-eyed beauty was born.  Capturing their family dynamics today was as fun as it was years ago.  With the addition of Grace, the love surrounding this family has grown exponentially.  This past Sunday she pulled out all the stops for her six month session.  She had some of the cutest cheeks and baby-blues.  The smiles Grace flashed while her parents showered her with affection were priceless.  We also had the privilege of meeting Grace’s grandma while visiting the States from Poland.  We were honored to have the chance capture the three generations of ladies before she heads home.  Thanks to everyone for making our shoot so memorable.  We’re already full of anticipation for the next time we get to work with this little one.

It’s been such an honor capturing the milestones in Kristin & Dan’s life.  We’ve seen them celebrate their nuptials, grow their family with two daughters, Addison and Harper, and now the welcoming of Kensen Grey.  We loved every minute of photographing the Fellers over the years.  The family they’ve created has it’s foundation built on love.  Kensen is essentially surrounded on all sides by love.  Even his sisters can’t seem to get enough of the little guy.  Our hearts melted while Addison held Kensen and proclaimed, “He’s the most beautiful baby ever.”  Not only is this little guy cute beyond words, he also has one of the coolest and unique names.  Kristin actually invented the name based on her Grandpa Kenny’s name. We also love the adorable accessories Kristin found for Kensen.  The caterpillar swaddle and hat get-up brings a smile every time we think about it.  With Addison and Harper always dressed extremely stylish we can’t wait to see the little-man outfits for Kensen as the year passes.  Congratulations Kristin and Dan.   Thank you again for allowing us into your home to capture the bonds of love that hold your family together.

When I was much younger than I am now, I remember my elders complaining (or maybe it was just reflecting) how time passes by before you even realize.  Over five years have past since we first met Nina and Geoff at the Washington County Bridal Fair.  We hit it off upon our first meeting; the love you could plainly see between the two and their outgoing, friendly nature had us overjoyed they had chosen us to shoot their wedding.  Since then we’ve developed a great friendship with the two and have had the privilege of watching their love grow into a family with the addition of Ty in 2010.  We loved documenting his first year and even had the opportunity to capture his first birthday party.  This month marks Ty’s second birthday and what better place for a boy of the fall to get some stunning images than a pumpkin farm?  Our location wasn’t just any pumpkin farm however.  We made the scenic drive out to the edge of Oconomowoc to shoot at the lovely grounds of Ebert’s Greenhouse Village.  The staff of Ebert’s have done a stunning job of creating a fall farm masterpiece that photographs awesomely.  A great place for kids, adults, and pumkin-philes (not sure if that’s a word, but hey let’s go with it).  Ty had a blast and most likely would have stayed all day if he could.  As is the norm with shooting Ty, the smiles, laughs, and emotional connection to the moment comes naturally and abundantly.  His infectious laugh even had me cracking up from time to time.  Such a cute kid and such a beautiful family.  Happy Birthday Ty!
