The Nelson’s hold a special place in my heart. They are such a wonderful couple and their pups, Spencer, Stuart and Deavon, are equally as lovely. It’s hard to believe that little Kensen is already 1 year old! Capturing this family is always a delight:) The children are just the sweetest and Kristin does such a wonderful job of putting everyone together. Oh my gosh! Words cannot express how much we cherish capturing the Ziesemer family. Since our first meeting and capturing their wedding we knew and felt a strong connection with Geoff and Nina. Over the years our connection and friendship grew. We’ve had the honor of sharing several milestones in their lives as well as ours. From welcoming their first son Ty to witnessing the miracle of Brody’s birth to having Geoff as our realtor for our move back to Brew City, it’s been a great seven years knowing this special family. We just cannot wait to share more memories with them as we capture Brody’s first year.
Warming up by the fire is one of our favorite past times these days. So when we were asked to capture Cayden’s 9 month session at the Froh residence, what better place for the family to get cuddled up than by the warm fire:) As always, this family shined as we documented their loving interaction. Having grown so much from the last time we saw him, Cayden reminds us of his big sister Maddie when she was that age – so vibrant and full of laughter. It really makes Steven and I feel so special when we get to come into a family’s home and freeze <--- pun intended:) these moments in time for them. How wonderful it will be to look back on these moments and relive them once again. Thanks to Pat and Jamie, clearly some of the best parents around. Happy New Year!
Capturing the Roeming Family has always been a joy. How could it not be with two little ones like this?! Lexie is growing into quite the little lady. Once again, she was full of laughs and smiles throughout the session. It warmed our hearts when we noticed the sparkle she had in her eye for her brother – she just loves him so much. A special congrats to Stephanie & Tyler on their new house! So happy to have you guys back in Wisco:) Happy Holidays!

Little Cayden is already 6 months old and we just can’t believe it. Like our last session, he is still full of warm smiles and has a real twinkle in his eye for big sis Maddie. The session was perfect. Set on the landscape of the Richfield Nature Preserve, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to photograph this lovely family. It was so nice to capture Jamie & Pat alone together – they definitely still have the look of love! Always a pleasure Froh Family. Can’t wait to see you all again soon:)
Oh my gosh! It continues to blow us away how fast these little kiddos grow up! Seems like only yesterday we were capturing Callahan’s first days of life and now here we are, a short year later. Steven and I both enjoyed getting to know the little boy during his session. He was playful, charming and very sweet on his Mom & Dad. Speaking of ‘sweet’, we couldn’t help but bring the little guy a birthday treat. By the look on his face after digging in it was clear, he was happy. A special thank you to Renee + Jason again for allowing us to capture yet another milestone in their lives. It’s such a joy:)
The warm fall light that followed us through this mid-October early morning session was lovely. The family we had the honor to photograph was equally as lovely. We knew we were going to get along great when we found out they named their dog after Steve – ha! Little Zach was darling and didn’t hesitate to flash some amazing smiles. It was such a treat working with the Aschenbrenners. We hope to continue to capture their growing family throughout the years.
Last week we headed over to Ebert’s Greenhouse Village to shoot Lane’s one year session. Once again, this little guy had us all swooning. It seems just like yesterday when we were introduced to Lane. With his adorable laugh and being a bit bashful and hiding behind those hands and available pumpkins, Lane knew how to turn on the charm. We loved the plaid shirt and tie Lane chose with the help of Jessica. We can’t wait to see how this little one grows over the years. And, as always, a special thanks to Ebert’s – they always have the perfect backdrop for autumn shoots and love having visitors.
We capped our Labor Day weekend off with a family session with the Sinner family. We worked with the Sinner’s years ago during their daughter, Ashley’s, wedding to Paul. Since then, Ashley and Paul have welcomed Brandon and are expecting another! We arrived with just enough time to capture some wonderful family portraiture before the storms rolled in. Sarah and I loved the family dynamic present with the Sinner’s. The two Sinner sons, AJ and Chris, were hilarious while impersonating Paul while he tossed Brandon in the air (see below). It was also an honor to have (great) grandma at the shoot to capture the multiple generations present. When the rain did rear its soaking wet head we move the fam to the covered front porch. Sarah graciously held the umbrella over the camera and sacrificed her warm dry clothing for the perfect shot. The session wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t attempt to cover the Sinner Labor Day Dog Party. It was great to visit and work with such a wonderful family again. We wish the best to them as they continue to grow through the years.
