So this is where my parsley has been going. I suppose the exchange is a good one though. Fresh garden herbs for a chance to have a yard full of monarchs every year.
Psst…that’s a Black Swallowtail catterpillar. Don’t touch them or these bright orange, yellow, or red horns come out and lets out a nasty smell. The patience and waiting is worth it, the butterflies are beautiful: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3138/2497435201_480deab17a.jpg
If it is monarchs you are after, allow some milkweed to grow.
