Food

Every day I am spoiled by my wonderful husband’s fabulous cooking. No… seriously!  It’s like going to a gourmet restaurant everyday!  I took my shot at cooking early on in our marriage, but it was clear that Steven was not only a better cook, he loved doing it. Now, who could argue with that? So I thought it would be fun to document some of his fabulous creations.   Thank you Steven for being so awesome. I love you!

Mom Graduates

After a few years of grueling academia and a lot of blood sweat and tears – Steve’s Mom graduates nursing school!  We all made the trip to IN to witness this joyous event (and capture it of course:).  Not only did she graduated Summa Cum Laude, she was also awarded the “Patricia Gobel Award”!   All of us couldn’t be more proud of her and her amazing accomplishment.  We love you Mom – YOU DID IT!

Special Delivery

A package arrived yesterday addressed to our pups, “Mona & Monty”.  To our surprise, there were two custom dog beds enclosed with gourmet dog treats!!!  These are not just ordinary dog beds…  Sarah’s spectacularly crafty sister in law, Debbie, hand made these fabulous creations for our fur babies.  We couldn’t be more grateful.  They are are extremely soft and comfy – Sarah had to try it out herself:)   Thank you so much Debbie.  You are so thoughtful and creative.  We love you.

My dear friend, Carol (from Artists Eyes Photography) took these great shots of Mom and I during a trunk show she held at her studio.  Thanks again Carol – you are such a sweetheart!

I love you Mom.  You are a beautiful person inside and out.  I’m very proud of you.  You continue to show strength and grace.  I’m so honored to call you my friend, my true friend –  one of the best anyone could ever ask for.  I treasure each memory we make together.  Thanks for being you.  You are very special to me, to all of us 🙂

Always, Sarah

Happy Anniversary

italygirls_10

It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 years since I married the man of my dreams! I’m so very lucky and not a day goes by that I’m not reminded of that. Steven, I love you with all of my heart.  You are so intelligent, funny, open minded, thoughtful, caring, and not to mention, incredibly handsome.  I still think about that day our eyes met for the first time.  I’m so glad you still look at me like that today.  Thank you for being my best friend. italygirls_75italygirls_15

While in Vegas, our friend Molly from The Italy Girls, asked us to be the models in their shoot for Wedding Chicks.  We couldn’t be happier that we said, ‘Yes’.  It’s not often that photographers find the time to be in front of the camera.  Steven and I had a blast working with everyone and rekindling our love. 🙂  Thanks again to Molly for thinking of us.

One Fine Day Productions put together this lovely video.  I’m so happy that we have it – it’s like the wedding video we never had!  Thanks to everyone for a fantastic shoot.

Remembering Dale

DaleBusinessCardFront

This past weekend we celebrated the life of my step-father, Dale W. Bancroft. It was a memorial service that we will never forget.  Having lived as full of a life as he did, we all took comfort in the memories we shared and the hand prints he left on all of our hearts.

HERE is the feature printed about Dale in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Saturday.  He really was a remarkable man.  Steven and I are so proud to have known him and to have been able to call him our friend.  He will be deeply missed, especially by Mom.

When I spoke at his memorial, I referenced the song in this slideshow (“For Good” from the broadway musical, Wicked) having special meaning to me because it made me think of Dale. This is the slideshow we showcased at the memorial. Love you, Dale. Love you forever.

Spring

Steven stepped outside our front door to grab this shot yesterday.

Rain rain go away, come again another day!  Guess it’s better than the snow we just had.  Hope those May flowers start poppin’ up next week.  Arrrrrrrr…
