Yea though I walk through the alley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for it has all happened to me.  The recession and the foreclosure has broken me.  A table has been prepared at the local shelter in the presence of those who share my fate.  Surely gainful employment will evade me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of Thunderbird forever.

The doldrums are upon me.  They gray in my hair is advancing like Sherman through the South.  Getting out of bed has made its way onto the list of things to do today.

They say autumn’s a comin’, an soon everything around us will die.

It doesn’t come easy.  There is an art form to my laziness.  The sly way I hold the broom while the manager walks by; I never thought one could sleep standing up while maintaining the appearance of diligence on the job.  We turned the loading docks into our own den of vice.  Eric from shipping and receiving bring the chips he got in Vegas during his brother-in-law’s bachelor party.  James from One Road trucking brings the cards.  I stand lookout, feigning a smoker’s lean against the wall.

Saw this face on my little cousin-in-law and couldn’t resist.  After a long night of kickball, skateboarding, using the swing as a centrifuge, launching the neighbor’s doll with our home made catapult, and fighting zombies in the cornfields bordering their home, I couldn’t tell if he was begging for me not to stop playing or to stop playing.
