Race for the Cure

We had such a great time running the Race for the Cure!  We are so thankful to friends and family who helped support us in our efforts.  Thanks again to my hubby Steven for running my first race with me.  Oh wait, it was his first race too!  Can’t wait to capture his 1st half marathon in the Dells in a few weeks:)

Well, I made an attempt at capturing the stars trailing in the night sky but lacked the long exposure to do so.  The other images were a collaboration with the guidance of my friend Dennis Felber from Dennis Felber Photography.  Dennis directed the shot and painted Charlie, my friend from Artist Eyes’ Photography, with a LED light.  The effects were amazing and have given this photog some ideas for upcoming shoots.  The last image is all of our “babes” posing as the muses (I think).

This is the look that’ll knock breast cancer on its a**.  Sarah and I had the honor of running the Susan G. Komen race for the cure this past Sunday.  I couldn’t be more proud of my wife for taking up this cause and getting me involved.

Not sure the purpose of this display, how it got there, or who did it for that matter, but it is very cool.  I always smile, laugh, and shudder to think of their imminent extinction as I drive by it.

Summer slowly relinquished its hold over us.  The shortening day foretells of an arctic chill making its journey south.  Should be here in a few months according to its itinerary.
