When we got a chance to work with Brittany & Matt on their engagement session last year, we knew that everything about their wedding would be fantastic – and it was. Brittany beamed in the Pnina gown she and her Mother bought at Kleinfeld’s in NYC. She literally said ‘yes to the dress’. It was perfectly accented by a pair of Kate Spade gold mesh heels and a jaw-dropping jeweled belt. A very dapper Matt went with the classic black tie tux and couldn’t have looked more handsome. This classic couple complemented each other beautifully and even threw in a few small touches to personalize their day. Even Brittany’s wedding gift to Matt, an incredible set of golf clubs, was adorned with a life-like (as life-like as stuffed animal club covers get) club cover of their pup Lily. The heart touching ceremony held at the historic Old St. Mary Parish had everyone sharing the love and joy as well as a few laughs. Matt’s best man Brent kept his duty of protecting the rings very seriously. Even to the point of reluctantly allowing the priest to bless them before the exchange. The Joan of Arc chapel on the Marquette campus set the perfect backdrop for family formals and intimate portraits after the wedding. With all the formalities involved with tying the knot over with, what better to do next than head over to the Mackie Building’s Grain Exchange room for the evening’s celebration. As with everything incorporated into their day, their choice of room decor, food (of course you can never go wrong with anything Bartolotta), and music was beautifully thought out and executed. And, as with anything baked and frosted by Aggie’s Cakes, the taste is just as incredible as the appearance. The night was topped off with one of our favorite wedding bands – Dynasty. Brittany and Matt danced to a great cover of Jennifer Hudson’s “Love You, I Do.” Truly a day to remember. Congratulations to such a wonderful couple. Brittany & Matt, you are both such a delight to know and work with. We can’t thank you enough for allowing us to share in this epic event. Special thanks to Sara and her fabulous team from Golden Chic Events for perfect planning and great execution of this wedding!
