Finally, a wedding fit for the appropriate time of year.  Too often this year we’ve been hit with bitter cold in months where the sun should be shining and people of all ages wear shorts and tee shirts.  Anyway, for our June 1st wedding we headed west to our beautiful state capital to capture Alycia and Jeff tying the knot.  We loved working with the newlyweds.  After getting to know them while hanging out during their lakefront engagement session last year we knew their wedding would be incredible.  We were not disappointed in the least.  Whether it was the hot pink argyle socks for the gentlemen, the unique and personalized bridesmaids dresses, or even the hand made boutonnieres by Alycia’s mom to resemble a fly fishing lure (both Jeff and Alycia are avid fishers), Alycia executed her wedding vision perfectly.  An old cathedral in Marshall followed by a roof top cocktail party and reception at the lovely Monona Terrace provided the perfect backdrop for some incredible pictures.  Of course having a photogenic couple who radiate their love for each other with every step they take doesn’t hurt either.  Seeing the love they share together and how they compliment each other was highly infectious.  Spending time with Alycia and Jeff as well as their friends and family was incredible.  Through their union, their families have become good friends and share good times together.  We love seeing a marriage expand the conventional definition of family by bringing two separate groups together into one united by the love of two individuals.  Congrats Alycia and Jeff, we had such a blast sharing in your special day.
