I have said it before and I am going to say it again… it’s incredible how fast babies grow. Just look at how much little Henry has grown since we last saw him. It’s such a treasure to capture these special moments. Thank you Allison and Nate for allowing us to capture yours.
Another one of our favorite places to shoot – the Third Ward. With such an abundance of different textures and landscapes, it always provides us with a great mix of images from a session. Thanks to another great couple who are just naturals in front of the camera. We are really looking forward to working with them again on their wedding day – thanks guys!
The domes… ahhh, what better place to shoot an engagement session when the WI weather doesn’t cooperate. We always enjoy working inside the beautiful domes. It’s like being on an hour vacation! Escaping the harsh winds of our city has never felt better. Thanks to Nikole + Dan for picking such a great location. We can’t wait for their big day this summer:)
Remember this cute couple? Well, it’s official, little Chelsea has arrived! The creative energy was flowing and working with this little angel couldn’t have been easier. Capturing brand new bambinos in their own environment has really proven to make for a much more relaxed atmosphere. It’s also always VERY inspiring for us to shoot in a location we have never been to before. Notice the nursery painting that her Daddy created for her – so sweet. It’s so exciting to watch a family grow right before our eyes. We look forward to what the next chapter holds.

Today I was feeling quite inspired after we captured such a wonderful newborn session this morning … which is coming soon. So I boiled and decorated our eggs – ‘Spottswood Style’. The essence of spring has started to saturate our yard so I couldn’t help but try to capture some of mother earth’s charm. I enjoyed making the eggs my mini models for this special little session. -Sarah
This recipe comes highly recommended by our friends Carol & Charlie. Frozen bananas, mix, done. Ah, yeah, can we say YUMMMMM!?! Seriously, it DOES taste just like ice cream. Loving it. Add a spoonful of organic peanut butter and a spoonful of dark chocolate for a really decadent treat!
We couldn’t be more excited for Kristin and Tim. The due date for their new baby girl is only a few short weeks away. It was so much fun working with them on an unseasonably gorgeous day this past weekend. Though we dragged them all around Hartford to some of our favorite locations, they were ready and willing to shine in front of the camera. We discovered they both teach ballroom dancing at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Mequon. For all of you brides and grooms to be following our blog – if you’re looking for lessons before the big day to impress your guests on the dance floor, look no further. My husband is so sweet! Look at the adorable card he picked up for me last week when I was sick. It gave me a chuckle and brightened my day.
