With two rambunctious boys and all the havoc they wreak, there is only one thing that can bring order to the galaxy – a little sister. We’ve watched as Kim and Brian pledged their lives to each other, grew their family with the addition of Ethan and Wesley, and now as they welcome Emma. As Kim succinctly put it, Emma is their caboose. This little gal is definitely not shy of the camera. We’re not sure if we’ve ever experienced such steady and consistent eye contact with our camera from a newborn. We’re pretty sure she was coached by her brothers who by now are veterans of our family sessions. Oh and those eyes, perhaps the biggest baby blues we’ve had the honor of capturing. As the Wiedmeyer train leaves the station to travel the rails of life, they now have their caboose bringing up the rear making sure all is good. Congrats Kim and Brian.

Lane Gabriel
This past Sunday we met Mr. Cheeks. Actually he goes by Lane, but with cheeks as uncontrollably cute as his he could be called Mr. Cheeks. It’d been almost four years since we shot Jessica and Jim’s nuptials so we were delighted when they contacted us to capture some adorable images of their son Lane. Despite Lane being slightly under the weather, he was all smiles for the camera. He truly hammed it up. Congrats Jessica & Jim, we are very happy for you.
Bridal Networking Night
Steven and I are sooooo excited about this very special event! If you are a bride or know a bride-to-be, we would love to see you there! INFO HERE
Tressie + Kyle
As we stepped out of our car into the crisp, cold, bright March morning at snow covered Pike Lake, we were greeted with a warm and friendly hug. Though we’d only met Tressie through internet correspondence, you would’ve thought we were old friends. Even relatives. Within an instant we knew we’d have an incredible time hanging out with Kyle and Tressie during their engagement session. Not only did they brave the cold, they looked amazing doing so in the process. The turquoise scarf adorning Tressie and the grey beanie Kyle rocks were both made by Tressie. Check out her website HERE. Not to be out done by his wife-to-be, Kyle, a carpenter, created their “Save the Date” frame that morning from reclaimed barn wood. It wouldn’t surprise us if Tressie sheared the sheep and spun the yarn for the hat and scarf and Kyle chopped down several trees, milled the wood, and built a barn which was subsequently torn down to get the reclaimed barn wood for the frame. It sounds real cool though. With such heartwarming personal touches they created and brought along, it was difficult to not get a great shot of these two. Oh, and the talk of burlap and bright flowers on their special day – well, we’re very excited for September’s arrival.
Published – Wed in Milwaukee Blog
Steven and I were so excited when Ellie from Wed in Milwaukee’s blog asked us if she could feature Loretta & Andy’s engagement session. They are such a cute and fun couple to work with. Love their story and cannot wait to work with them this fall:) Thanks again Ellie!
Stacy + Bryan
We love our winter sessions. Somehow they seem more fleeting and dynamic than what we typically are used to in the summer. Being able to have our winter sessions coincide with snowfall tops everything. Last Friday happened to be one of those types of sessions. We met Stacy and Bryan last October and were immediately taken by their story. Having been married for eleven years, Stacy and Bryan wanted to experience all the hoopla and celebration of a typical wedding they weren’t able to have. We’ve always said it’s never too late to celebrate your nuptials and get the romantic portraiture that will stay with you a lifetime. It goes without saying we were extremely excited not only for the gorgeous couple, but also for the opportunity to provide them with some timeless imagery from their celebration. Next month, just as Spring makes its official appearance, Stacy and Brian, along with their three adorable children, will celebrate and remember the love that has led to the life they now enjoy as a family.
Mason
It seems like yesterday we captured the nuptials of Brenda & Thomas. We were extremely excited when Brenda contacted us with the wonderful news of Mason’s arrival. Along with being extremely cute and a breeze to work with (if I can’t remember a baby crying during a shoot, then they didn’t – kinda like a tree falling in a forest type of thing) Mason had one of the fullest heads of hair we’ve seen on a newborn. He also loved flashing his baby blues at the camera whenever possible. Congratulations Brenda & Thomas on the family you’ve created.
Holly’s Birthday Party
Capturing memories is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. When my dear friend Brooke asked if we were available to shoot her Mom’s birthday party we gladly and eagerly said yes. Since meeting Brooke back in high school, it has always been apparent how special Holly is to her. It was only natural for Brooke to want to give her Mom the gift of memories on her special day. There is nothing Holly wouldn’t do for her kids or her grand-kids. Just look at the way she is with them – what a lovely family. Thank you for allowing Steven and I in to capture such a special day for your mom Brookie. Love, Sarah
Kendall Rose
We were so excited when our friends, Charlie and Lauren, welcomed their first child, Kendall Rose, on January 14th. We were even more excited when they contacted us to shoot Kendall’s first official portrait session. She wasted no time at all and started posing for us right away. We even managed to capture her infectious smile while she lay dreaming of cool baby things. Apart from all the fun we had hanging out with Kendall in her nursery, we enjoyed the looks and smiles Charlie and Lauren would give one another and Kendall as they held her. We’re extremely happy for Charlie and Lauren and the family they’ve created.
