My little sister Lizzie is getting married!!! I’m so excited to showcase the love that was shared at her bridal shower. I spent many late nights working on all of the fixings to make her bridal shower extra special. I started off by creating the invites from a template I found on Pinterest. Since we were in the midst of our move, I needed to find a place to host the event. I knew I wanted it to be an afternoon garden party and that the perfect backdrop would be my Mom’s back yard. The invites included a recipe card for Elizabeth’s kitchen library. Everyone offered their ‘KEYS’ to happiness and it was fun to hear Elizabeth read all of them. My favorite part was when I surprised the bride with a little note from her groom that I had secretly asked him to email me. Since Nick is a Green Beret currently deployed in Africa, getting a special note made Lizzie’s day. The games, tea, and treats went over well and the ladies were all delightful. There was one guy at the shower. A guy that I couldn’t have pulled this off without, my hubby/servant boy. He was buzzing around the entire day helping with whatever needed to be done. Including offering his own little ‘key’ to happiness – NEVERMIND! (had to be there:) Steven, I am so thankful that you took the time to help me with this shower. You are a wonderful man and I’m proud to call you my husband. I would also like to thank Nicholas for taking the time to write such a sweet note for my sister. Many, many thanks go to my Mother for allowing me to host the shower at her house and for bringing along several little touches to make things perfect –> like flying Elizabeth’s future Mother In Law, Susan, up for the shower!!! Thanks Mom 😉 Thanks also to Lizzie’s bridesmaid, Courtney, for being part of the clean up crew and the many others who also assisted. To all of Lizzie’s family and friends that attended, thank you for making her feel so loved. Finally, I would like to say thank you to my sister… Lizzie, I am so thankful you chose me as your maid of honor. I love you and cannot wait to watch you say ‘I DO’.

I absolutely LOVE these pictures. It brings back all of the fantastic memories of that day! I will cherish these photos for always. It truly was a blessing to have everyone there, supporting me and loving me. It was by far, one of my favorite days….EVER. Thanks again, everyone…..especially Sarah Bear. The thought and care that went into planning such a awesome day, means a lot to me! You didn’t make me feel like a special bride, you made me feel like a PRINCESS. I love you!
