My little sister Lizzie is getting married!!!\u00a0 I’m so excited to showcase the love that was shared at her bridal shower.\u00a0 I spent many late nights working on all of the fixings to make her bridal shower extra special.\u00a0 I started off by creating the invites from a template I found on Pinterest.\u00a0 Since we were in the midst of our move, I needed to find a place to host the event.\u00a0 I knew I wanted it to be an afternoon garden party and that the perfect backdrop would be my Mom’s back yard.\u00a0 The invites included a recipe card for Elizabeth’s kitchen library.\u00a0 Everyone offered their ‘KEYS’ to happiness and it was fun to hear Elizabeth read all of them.\u00a0 My favorite part was when I surprised the bride with a little note from her groom that I had secretly asked him to email me.\u00a0 Since Nick is a Green Beret currently deployed in Africa, getting a special note made Lizzie’s day.\u00a0 The games, tea, and treats went over well and the ladies were all delightful.\u00a0 There was one guy at the shower.\u00a0 A guy that I couldn’t have pulled this off without, my hubby\/servant boy.\u00a0 He was buzzing around the entire day helping with whatever needed to be done.\u00a0 Including offering his own little ‘key’ to happiness – NEVERMIND!\u00a0 (had to be there:)\u00a0 Steven, I am so thankful that you took the time to help me with this shower.\u00a0 You are a wonderful man and I’m proud to call you my husband.\u00a0 I would also like to thank Nicholas for taking the time to write such a sweet note for my sister.\u00a0 Many, many thanks go to my Mother for allowing me to host the shower at her house and for bringing along several little touches to make things perfect –> like flying Elizabeth’s future Mother In Law, Susan, up for the shower!!!\u00a0 Thanks Mom \ud83d\ude09\u00a0 Thanks also to Lizzie’s bridesmaid, Courtney, for being part of the clean up crew and the many others who also assisted.\u00a0 To all of Lizzie’s family and friends that attended, thank you for making her feel so loved.\u00a0 Finally, I would like to say thank you to my sister… Lizzie, I am so thankful you chose me as your maid of honor.\u00a0 I love you and cannot wait to watch you say ‘I DO’.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
