Amy + Jarod
Boerner Botanical Gardens | Milwaukee Wedding Photography
After our Fourth of July break we were extremely anxious and excited to have another wedding to attend. We had the pleasure of working with Amy and Jarod last fall at Barthel’s fruit farm – on one of our memorable engagement sessions of 2010 (reminder to all you couples out there – picking a fun location for an engagement session is 90% of getting great shots). Saturday turned out just as eventful for us. The day was beautiful – a nice break from our mini heat wave we’ve been experiencing – and Amy and Jarod, as well as their friends and family, were a blast to work with. We even made a pit stop at one of our favorite places to eat on the go – Jimmy Johns! Having their reception at the lovely Boerner Botanical Gardens was the icing on the cake for a memorable day. Congrats to the happy couple, and Ringo their dog, in their new life.

Heather + Sy
St. John's Cathedral | Discovery World | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer
We’ve been waiting the better part of a year to shoot Heather and Sy’s wedding. From the details they gave us at our initial meeting we knew they’d have a great wedding. The vintage Jaguar Heather and Sy rode in, the blue suits the men wore, Heather’s amazing dress, and the table that sat 200 for dinner; everything was given great attention. Of course Heather and Sy were a blast to work with as well. Sy even managed to pull a practical joke on Sarah last year pretending to investigate illegal phone calls made by Sarah. She was slightly freaked at first, but later relieved. The day came and went perfectly. All of our best to Heather and Sy and the journey in life they’re embarking on.

Katie & Ryan
Delafield Hotel | Associate Wedding Photographers
We were very excited this weekend to have our associate team of Jeff and Jan out on this wedding for us. They perfectly captured Katie and Ryan’s nuptials and we couldn’t be happier. Congratulations to the newlyweds.

Erin & Steve
St. Monica's Parish, Whitefish Bay | Mequon Country Club | Mequon Wedding Photographer
From our initial meeting last year we knew we would enjoy working with this beautiful couple. Erin and Steve’s wedding day couldn’t have been better. From the parish they picked for their ceremony to the incorporation of Erin’s father’s ‘57 Bel Aire, the entire day was picture perfect. Though we did battle fall-like temperatures and the chance of rain, the sun did make an appearance and capped off an all around beautiful day. We wish Erin and Steve the best in their new journey.

Michelle & Tony
Madison Wedding Photographer
Saturday we made the trek out to our state’s lovely capital to cover the celebration of Michelle and Tony’s marriage. We had met our couple several years ago while shooting a wedding Michelle had the honor of standing up at. Needless to say, when they contacted us we were more than excited to work with them on their big day. Michelle and Tony tied the knot back in April in sunny Jamaica (Jamaican me crazy) but still wanted a stateside “wedding” for friends and family that could not be there. Since all the hoopla and stress of a real time wedding was out of their way, Michelle and Tony focused most of their time on getting great portraiture at several different locations in the Madison area before the party kicked off. We started at the capital, relaxed in the lovely Olbrich gardens, and finally crashed Middleton’s downtown beach party. To cap off a very exciting day, Michelle and Tony performed a choreographed dance for all of their guests. A big thanks to our couple for creating an incredible event to photograph – congrats!

Andrea + Jason
Hilton Garden Inn | West Bend Wedding Photographer
How fitting the groom in our Memorial Day weekend wedding is a veteran of both the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. Andrea and Jason are some of the nicest people we have had the privilege to work with. From our initial consultation with them last July we knew we met a special couple excited about our photography. Jason approached me afterward to help him with a gift for Andrea. He had proposed with “ANDREA WILL YOU MARRY ME?” written in sand along the Lake Michigan beach front. The only problem, on the day of the proposal it was foggy and difficult to see it from the top of the bluff he had taken Andrea to. Luckily, Jason’s mom snapped a pic of it on a clear day, we fixed the image up, and got a nice sized print for Jason to give Andrea to remember their engagement. Very sweet.
Congratulations Andrea and Jason. We wish the world for you and your family.
