Breanne + Matt

9.24.11 | Art Museum Wedding | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

Remember Breanne + Matt’s engagement session we shot in NYC this summer?  Their wedding last weekend was equally as fabulous (just as we knew it would be:).  You can’t go wrong with such a wonderful couple.  Matt looked dapper in his tux and Breanne was radiant in her dress.  The dress… Oh my goodness, the dress!!!  Incredible.  … they couldn’t have picked better details to showcase their personalities.  From the art museum, to the lighting, to the superb menu, to the cookie bar, to even the cheese curds they had on chilled marble for everyone as favors at the end of the evening – this event was like none other.  We really enjoyed working with Breanne and Matt and wish them nothing but the best life has to offer.  Thank you both so much for allowing us to take part in your journey.

Breanne is actually a designer for PUMA in NYC, so when it came to designing a surprise 2nd dress for the reception – she took it into her own hands.  It was spectacular!  I LOVE the back detail and how it flows.  Steven and I agreed that it really complemented the first dress very well.

Katie + Elliot

St. Jude the Apostle | Lakefront Brewery | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

We knew working with these two on their wedding day would be awesome because we really enjoyed shooting their engagement session.  Loved the propeller cufflinks Elliot sported – being a pilot and all – they suited him perfectly.  They even actually spun!  Lakefront Brewery never disappoints.  You have got to try their INDIA BLACK ALE – awesome!  The wedding band was definitely one of the highlights – hope to see those guys again.  Seriously, they were terrific.  If you want to really show your guests a good time, hire these guys – they rock!  Congrats to the happy couple – you guys really know how to put on a partaaaay!  Thanks again:)

Tara + Bart

Veterans Terrace | Burlington Wedding Photographer

Hard to believe that just a few days before this wedding, we were shooting Tara + Bart’s engagement session down at McKinley Marina!  Their wedding day was equally as fun.  The ceremony was held at Tara’s Dad’s house in Racine.  It was the perfect backdrop for an intimate exchange of vows.  From the flower girl pulling the ring bearer down the rose petaled isle on a wagon – to the rings being set on a fishing pole (rather than a traditional pillow)… this wedding had all of the little touches that really showcased Tara and Bart’s personalities.  We were so impressed with how many of Bart’s friends and family traveled from France and Poland for this special event.  We especially took note Tara’s wheatgrass centerpieces, having grown all of them herself!  In place of a guestbook, they had a rock station where everyone would sign a rock for their garden.  Such a great idea!  Such a great event!  Thanks to Tara + Bart for allowing us to capture it:)

Julie + Chris

Ozaukee Country Club | Mequon Wedding Photographer

Remember this great couple?  Well, working with them is always a charm.  They are the easiest to capture – like naturals in front of the camera.  One of our favorite moments included the ‘first look’ meeting.  Not only were we able to capture this intimate moment, they were able to get all of their jitters out of the way (in addition to family portraits:) before the actual ceremony – making for a much less stressful day!  They even rehearsed their vows – it was really sweet to witness and capture.  Such a loving couple and a simply beautiful wedding.  We couldn’t be happier for you two!  Best wishes and happy travels back to sunny Austin, TX.  Yeeeehaaaaaw!

Anne + Ibzan

Milwaukee Wedding Photographer | Lake Park Bistro

Our day began sunny, bright, and warm.  It ended with a cool front, soft clouds, and much needed rain.   In between, we had the privilege of documenting Anne and Ibzan’s nuptials.  The two met working at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, share a love of reading (the tables were identified by some of their favorite classics), and have been inseparable since.  The events of the day started early; Anne at Studio D’Angeli, Ibzan getting ready elsewhere.  The mid-morning ceremony was followed by a delicious luncheon at the never-disappointing Lake Park Bistro.  Since the couple planned to honeymoon in France they chose a tasteful French theme for the reception. Thankfully the heaviest of the rain had subsided before our family and formal portraits.  Even though we were worried about our bride and groom getting wet, they were more than willing to brave a few sprinkles here and there for some non-traditonal shots by the Milwaukee Art Museum.  We wish Anne and Ibzan the best on the journey they embarked on.

Kellie + Joe

Golden Mast, Okauchee Lake | Pewaukee Wedding Photographers

Remember this handsome couple?  Getting to know our couples on an engagement shoot really fires us up for their wedding and builds a comfort level that aids in our wedding day coverage. Kellie and Joe paid the utmost attention to every detail of their day. Joe wore his own tux as well as a real bow tie (pay attention gents).  There’s nothing more classic and dapper than a bow tie. Kellie’s hair and make up was fantastic – courtesy of the fabulous Neda Stevic – nedastevic@hotmail.com. Their first dance was wonderfully choreographed and provided great entertainment for all of the out of town guests. Having met at UW-Madison it was only appropriate for Bucky to stop by and share a few dances. We’re still singing “Teach Me How to Bucky.” It was wonderful seeing the two interact with each other as well as their friends and family. Their beauty shines not only from the outside, but also from the inside. Thank you so much Kellie and Joe for hosting such a beautiful event and allowing us to capture it, we couldn’t be happier for you two..

Monica + Dustin

Trimborn Farm, Greendale | Polish Center, Franklin | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

We knew when we shot Monica & Dustin’s engagement session, their wedding day would be fantastic.  Aside from their engagement session, we’ve had the chance to hang out with them at numerous weddings throughout the course of the last year.  They are fun loving, have a great sense of humor, and are a blast to work with.  Their wedding was simply beautiful.  Though we don’t really enjoy shooting ceremonies indoors, the church they tied the knot in has to be one of our all time best churches to shoot in.  Got to love the modern architecture parishes are incorporating when rebuilding.  Yes it did rain during the day.  However, as we tell all of our worried couples, it usually doesn’t rain the ‘entire’ day.  The break in the storms passing through gave us just enough time to head over to Trimborn Farm For some great portraiture.  We couldn’t have asked for a better day for such a great couple.  Monica and Dustin, we wish you love and happiness in your new life together.

Kristy + Jake

Milford Hills Hunt Club | Johnson Creek Wedding Photographer

When we met with Kristy and Jake last year we couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding. Kristy found us over four years ago when she was helped her sister Jessica find us for her wedding photography. When Kristy & Jake informed us their wedding would be outdoors, at a hunting club no less, we were ecstatic. Everything from the burlap accents on the bouquets, to Kristy’s dad’s vintage Ford truck, all the details gave this wedding the perfect touches for a perfect day. We wish Kristy and Jake happiness and success in their life together.

Kari + Alan

Mount Mary College | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

After meeting with Kari and Alan at our Mini-Session event in the beginning of July we knew we’d have a blast at their wedding. They compliment each other perfectly and with their great sense of humor had us constantly smiling and laughing. The wedding was held on the beautiful grounds of Mount Mary College – Kari’s alma mater. Even though the oppressive heat of last week had yet to abate and the chapel lacked air conditioning, both Kari and Alan stayed cool and clam while every one seemed to sweat bullets (even our cameras were sweating). We wish the best to Kari and Alan on the journey they are now embarking on.

Amy + Jarod

Boerner Botanical Gardens | Milwaukee Wedding Photography

After our Fourth of July break we were extremely anxious and excited to have another wedding to attend. We had the pleasure of working with Amy and Jarod last fall at Barthel’s fruit farm – on one of our memorable engagement sessions of 2010 (reminder to all you couples out there – picking a fun location for an engagement session is 90% of getting great shots). Saturday turned out just as eventful for us. The day was beautiful – a nice break from our mini heat wave we’ve been experiencing – and Amy and Jarod, as well as their friends and family, were a blast to work with. We even made a pit stop at one of our favorite places to eat on the go – Jimmy Johns! Having their reception at the lovely Boerner Botanical Gardens was the icing on the cake for a memorable day. Congrats to the happy couple, and Ringo their dog, in their new life.
