For this special session, we headed to the Wisconsin State Fair.  It was so much fun to capture this little guy because he really loves the camera and it shows!  We loved trying all of the unique creations the fair had to offer with Nina and Geoff.  Skip the fried beer, it was not very good.  It tasted like beer filled ravioli.  The fried green beans with ranch dip were yummy though.  But I have to say that Nina and I are simply over the moon about the fried oreos tossed in powdered sugar!  Seriously, that alone is worth a trip to the fair!  Ty really is an amazing boy and we are so fortunate to watch him grow.  We cannot wait to capture his 1st birthday celebration in October.

Such a little cutie! It’s so awesome when we get to meet our wedding couples new additions. We couldn’t be happier for Shanna & David. Congrats on your beautiful little baby girl!

This little guy gave us some of the best smiles during his 1 year celebratory shoot. We have enjoyed watching him grow over this past year and can’t wait to post his big brother’s senior session… coming soon!

Grayson definitely kept us in shape while capturing him on the move.   Gotta love those mini Sperry’s!  Both sets of grandparents took the time to be photographed with the youngster. It’s always so wonderful when families get together for group portraits.  Can’t wait for when Annie & Jeff’s newest addition is welcomed this fall.

Even after the excitement of their first birthday party, Nolan and Landon were ready to go again for their official 1 year photo shoot.  As always both were hamming it up for the camera, flashing their smiles, and trying to out-cute the other.  It’s wonderful to witness firsthand the love this family has for each other.  Thanks again to the Boehms for allowing us to capture their beautiful family.

We cannot recall when we’ve photographed a baby with so much hair.  With such a handsome face and head full of hair, Seth really looks like a little man.  Apart from how cute he was, he was very cooperative and made our jobs easy despite all of our poking, prodding, and, manipulation of him while he slept.  Congratulations to  Seth’s  proud parents Nathan and Jane.  We wish the best for your new family in the many years to come.

It’s hard to believe these handsome young gentlemen are a year old already.  They’ve come so far from the first time we met them. They have grown so much and both have very unique personalities. It was difficult to tell who had more fun at the birthday party – Nolan and Landon or the photographers. Happy Birthday Nolan and Landon. We had such a great time on your special day.

It was simply wonderful to meet Mr. Cole Wiedmeyer. This guy was more than a trooper for his very first session. Cole arrived into this world May 19th. Hard to believe he’s already this big.

We met Bev and Dave back in the fall of 2007 (it seems like forever ago and just yesterday all in the same breath) and shot their engagement session and their wedding the following year.  We loved working with such an easy going couple excited to have their portraits and wedding captured by us.  It didn’t hurt that they were naturals in front of the camera, willing to smile at the drop of a hat.   And no, that is Dave, not Chris Isaak – though they do look alike.

Anyway, last April Bev and Dave contacted us wondering if we were available for Bev’s maternity shoot.   We were elated that they were expanding their family and felt honored to help capture those first memories of their daughter’s life.  Mya arrived in May of 2010 and has hit the ground running since.  Our first shoot with Mya was a blast.  Bev and Dave looked slightly concerned with how we stuffed their precious newborn daughter into a hot pink baby wrap and began manipulating her to our liking (there really is a science to shooting a newborn).  Their concerns melted away when we assured them we do this on a regular basis and the babies actually don’t mind – so long as they’re fast asleep.  Well, Mya did grow and grow and we had the honor of seeing her development first hand.  You can see her throughout her first year here.  Of all the sessions we shoot, none hold a candle to a baby’s first year.  We are always awestruck at seeing the miracle of life form and grow right before our eyes.  Watching a family grow, not only physically, but also in the size of the love they share for each other, is one of the best perks of being a photographer.

Its been almost four years since we met Kevin, Beth, and their daughter Amelia.  We had the privilege of documenting Amelia’s first year of life of life as well as a second year session. Now the Fuhrman’s have added a new little guy to their family – Colin. This little man is literally all smiles – well, as long as he has his monkey by his side. Amelia is also such a wonderful big sister. There was always a hug and an eagerness to pose with her little brother no matter what was going on or where Colin was running off to. It was also great to see Kevin and Beth. They definitely have their hands full, but are blessed to have such a great family. As always we are honored to document and capture the memories of a growing family throughout the years.
