Julie + Myles

Engagement Session | Richfield, WI

The bad news this week – a storm left over a foot of snow in our area. The good news – Julie and Myles had been waiting for such an occasion to schedule their engagement session. Often, couples shy away from outdoor sessions in the winter. However, if you’re willing to brave the cold, the shots captured are tremendous. Thank you Julie and Myles for being so patient and willing to trudge the deep snow. Congratulations on your engagement!

*Favorite Things*

1. Soda Stream
fj-black_seltzer_starter
Steven and I LOVE carbonated water – so this little machine became our favorite purchase this year! Without any electricity, you can create delicious carbonated water or you can purchase syrups and make your own soda pop! Not only is it good on the enviornment and your pocket book, it’s good for YOU – absolutely no nasty preserves or high fructose corn syrup. You will LOVE IT!

2. Wet N Wild Nail Polish
300
This is the BEST red nail polish ever! My Mom introduced it to me – thanks Mom. ;) It gives you awesome color in literally just ONE COAT!!! It also dries super fast AND you can pick it up for a buck! That’s right, only a dollar! Walgreens usually has it in stock. The other colors in the same line work great too:) Especially the clear protector coat.

3. Infinity Scarf

Scarfs are super hot right now. There are so many different ways you can wear them. This scarf, from The Limited, gives you the best variety. It’s a long loop of fabric that you can wear (easily) 7+ different ways. It makes a great statement piece and is super cozy too:) On sale now!

4. Twilight Series

I was a complete skeptic before I saw the movie, but once I did I became hooked! It’s not the ‘teeny bopper’ type story that I expected – the story appeals to all ages! It’s awesome and addicting. I read all of the books (which average about 700 pages each) and I DO NOT read!!! You must pick up the books or at least check out the movies – Twilight and New Moon – you will love ‘em.

Also be sure to pick up the SOUNDTRACK to New Moon – it rocks! Wisconsin’s very own rising star, Bon Iver, graces the album with a fantastic track.

5. Oil of Olay Regenerist

I tried Philosophy’s micro-dermabrasion peel and loved it, but didn’t care for the price tag (about $75). Oil of Olay’s version is the perfect answer and works beautifully! First you put the crystals on your face (fabulous citrus scent), then you put the acid serum over it and it warms up. You can see the difference with the first use. At under $25 for this kit, you can easily do it once a week without feeling guilty – a total steal!

6. Teufel Motion Ring

Finally, one of my very favorite things from this year is my Teufel ring that Steven surprised me with in Vegas. Get the full story HERE. I have never seen anything like it – ever! It literally spins and I LOVE IT!

Don’t forget to check out my picks from last year!

Amy + Scott

The Legend at Brandybrook

Our final wedding of the year! It was so great to capture this awesome couple once again. They had custard and kringles for dessert (instead of cake) – YUM!!! You may remember them from their super cute ‘golf’ engagement session.
